Background
Mexican-born and Bronx-raised Lucero has always had interests in the arts and computers since the age of 10. Aside from school work, she would practice her skills in Photoshop and Sony Vegas by animating basic stories.
During her high school years at Fordham High School for the Arts, she began to work on different mediums, as well as being introduced to photography and set design. During her time, she also spent her time outside of school developing her skills in programming.
At Herbert H. Lehman College, she majored in Computer Science but later switched to Computer Graphics and Imaging after realizing her potential in both visual arts and programming.
She is currently working to pursue a career in a technology and visual arts through digital media. Lucero has been previously awarded a scholarship and two US President awards (academic excellence and volunteer bronze award).
Previously working as an instructor for Girls Who Code, learning about community contribution through technology. Working as an IT/AV Intern at Wave Hill taught her of the importance of combining environmentalism, technology, and arts to express contemporary issues in climate change.
Outside of school and work, she has a strong connection to the undocumented and queer youth helping non-profits in organizing and presence.
